Selena Gomez: This Business Is 'Very Hard'

While Selena Gomez has avoided scandal like the plague, the teen star isn't about to judge other young celebs for attracting trouble.
Celebuzz's reigning teen queen (and reader role model) told KIIS 108 that we shouldn't blame young celebrities for their rebellious behavior because they are still growing up.
"It's a very hard business and I feel like people don't really understand what we go through," Selena tells the radio station, "We're kids. People make mistakes. People have to figure out what we like and don't like."
So, how does Selena stay so grounded? "I have a great family," Selena explains, "I have parents that treat me like a normal kid. I know that I have a responsibility [to my fans]."
Selena is clearly close with her family – the singer once told PopStar! that her mother was her #1 role model. Watch the video below.
Selena does have a much cleaner image than fellow Disney stars Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus, who both had their fair share of trouble this year. Demi is currently in rehab following an alleged fight with a back-up dancer and video of Miley smoking salvia has gotten her a heap of criticism.
Selena's Christmas plans are just as down-to-Earth as the gorgeous starlet. SelGo tells the radio station that she will be going back home to Texas for Christmas and she's looking forward to "turning [her] phone off."
Looking ahead to the new year, Selena plans on (sniffle) wrapping up production of Wizards of Waverly Place and going out on her first headlining tour.
