Taking a break from filming her new movie Contagion in Chicago,Gwyneth Paltrow and two pals joked about ordering way too much food at Bar 12-21 inside Morton's the Steakhouse in Rosemont, Ill. The group started out with a shrimp cocktail and salads before moving on to a meal that included filet mignon, shrimp Alexander and sea bass. Paltrow was very complimentary of the staff and the food, a source says.
• Spotted in Paris: Blake Lively, scouring the boutiques in Le Marais over the weekend with three pals. The Gossip Girl star checked out both sides of Rue de Saintonge, seeking vintage clothes at Pretty Box before hitting the racks at various other boutiques, like Isabel Marant. Afterward, she snuck in a little jewelry shopping.
• Also shopping: recent birthday girl Miley Cyrus, who was on a mission to load up on warm winter clothes at Diavolina in L.A. The pop star was with a girlfriend, and left with an Anthem shredded sweater, a leopard-print coat and a fur vest, among other cozy items.
• Hilary Duff, having a girls' getaway at Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs, Calif. The starlet and her pals sipped cocktails by the fire pit and talked for hours one evening. Duff's drink of choice? A purple lemonade, which she enjoyed with truffle fries.
