Miley Cyrus' dad upset with Parents Television Council over recent comments

Is the Parents Television Council spending too much time complaining and not enough time actually telling people what is good programming for their kids? If you listen to Billy Ray Cyrus, the answer to this question will probably be "yes." A source close to the singer -- who also stars on the family-friendly "Hannah Montana" with his daughter Miley -- told TMZ that he is unhappy that the Council "has recently been spending all its time attacking people rather than promoting family television."
Why is this significant at all? Billy Ray is a member of the Advisory Board for the group, and he is apparently getting "fed up" with the amount of time that is being sent firing off criticism. Most recently, we saw a statement from President Jim Winter comparing the GQ cover from "Glee" cast members Lea Michele and Dianna Agron to pedophilia. Before that, though, they went after Cyrus' own daughter for her "Who Owns My Heart" music video.
Meanwhile, in that span of time we have not heard too much in the way of positive work that is currently being done for kids on TV -- then again, if we did it probably wouldn't make the same sort of headlines.
Do you think that the Parents Television Council is crossing the line?
