MTV Europe Music Awards broadcasts November 7

Rihanna, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and Kings of Leon will gather in Madrid on November 7 for the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards, hosted by Eva Longoria of the US television seriesDesperate Housewives. Up until November 4, fans can vote online for winners in categories including best song and best video.

Teen pop star Justin Bieber will host a live webcast of the event, where he will post his "constant commentary" during the show on the official website for the awards.
Performers Lady Gaga and Katy Perry top the nominations with five nods apiece. The two will go head to head in four categories - best pop act, best female act, best song, and best video.
Rihanna, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Linkin Park, Kings of Leon, and Kid Rock are also expected to perform at the ceremony. Also, US rockers Bon Jovi will receive a Global Icon prize, organizers recently announced.
Fans can still vote for several categories, including best song, best live act, and best video until November 4 on the MTV Europe Music Awards website.
The event will be broadcast live by MTV in more than 40 countries in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East and has the potential to draw a global television audience of more than 600 million people. 
Past host cities include Berlin in 2009 and Liverpool in 2008. The event was established in 1994 and first held in Berlin.
