“Who Owns My Heart” Video: Miley Cyrus Attacked Undeservingly

I have to admit that I just got finished watching Miley Cyrus’ new music video for her European hit ‘Who Owns My Heart.’ And my initial reaction is – so what?
Now, it may be due to the fact that I come from the younger generation, but when did Miley Cyrus sign up to be your child’s role model? And when is America going to stop chastising what they so relentlessly love to read about? Sex sells and we all know it.
Cyrus is on the brink of turning 18-years-old in November and in the past few years she has been unable to escape the wrath of America’s parental units. She has been marred “too sexy” or “too provocative,” but this is nothing new. Even though, she herself, is going through her own stages of adolescence and finding herself, associations such as the Parents Television Council hold her accountable for the youth of all America.
Previously, the question was asked: Is Miley the new Britney Spears? And all I can say is let’s hope so. Who wouldn’t want to be compared to Britney SpearsSpears has sold over 100 million records worldwide and has become one of the best selling artists of all time. Of. All. Time. Love her or hate her, Spears has continually managed to keep our attention andCyrus seems to be doing just the same. I’m sure she would agree that it’d be an honor to be compared to the notorious Ms. Britney Spears. Keep rockin’ it, Miley!
How do you feel about Miley Cyrus’ new video?
