Happier and more gorgeous than ever, cover star Miley Cyrus is the picture of calm in the midst of a paparazzi storm.

She's the One

The West Coast Twitterverse was just blowing up with Miley Cyrus' engagement to Liam Hemsworth when the star's Prius pulled onto the set of our photoshoot in the Malibu hills. The news, which broke that morning, sent camo-clad paparazzi scaling up every side of the mountain, angling for a shot of the ring. One daring (or dumb?) pap broke his collarbone during the climb. But the teen idol barely noticed the ruckus. Uninhibited and uncensored, she was all too eager to strip out of her crop top and Levi's and get into the rocker-gone-Baroque looks assembled by the MC fashion team. (A hefty, glittering frock by Kanye West was a major source of obsession.) Cyrus' dad, Billy Ray, who stopped by the set with her mom, Tish, was overwhelmed with pride.
