Singer/actress MILEY CYRUS has urged her fans to help boost donations
to a charity fund established to help a young Australian sportsman who
was seriously injured last month (Jul12).
Beau Vernon was playing for his local Leongatha Football Club when he collided with another athlete, fracturing his neck and dislocating his vertebrae.
He was airlifted to hospital in Melbourne, where he underwent surgery to repair two broken vertebrae, but the 23 year old has been left paralysed.
His parents have been struggling to cover Vernon's medical fees and a fund was set up in his name to raise money to cover the costs, and now Cyrus, who is engaged to Aussie hunk Liam Hemsworth, is using her fame to help drive up donations to the charity.
In a series of Twitter.com posts, she writes,
